Virus / Trojan

But what has the Virus / Trojan done so far? Nearly every Virus / Trojan has a special purpose besides spreading itself. Some of them install a so called "RootKit" which allows somebody else to have permanent access to your Computer and to stay totally hidden.
These RootKits are not detectable with the normal tools of the operating system.
